It’s clear that Battlefront is still very special to a lot of Star Wars fans. Not only do fans still come back to the series, its modding community has gone to great lengths to provide new and innovative experiences. Upkeeping multiplayer servers isn’t as expansive as it is today’s biggest shooters, and given accessing the games on console requires older hardware, PC support has done great work to keep Star Wars Battlefront’s legacy alive. The original Star Wars Battlefront series hasn’t seen a new entry in over fifteen years, but the games still receive support from numerous dedicated fans. Games like Knights of the Old Republic and Republic Commando offered unique experiences, while the original Star Wars Battlefront series was likely the genuine highlight of the era. While the current generation of Star Wars games has produced several great titles, the early 2000s were perhaps the strongest period for the galaxy far, far away. The Star Wars series has evolved in lockstep with the video game industry, and the result has been memorable releases.
